SAU collaborates with AT&T North Carolina
Saint Augustine’s University is collaborating with AT&T North Carolina to increase the technology learning experience in the southeast Raleigh community by offering a Digital Literacy Program. This inaugural program will help southeast Raleigh residents develop a broad range of skills necessary to feel comfortable using digital devices such as smartphones, tablets, laptops and desktop PCs.
The Digital Literacy Program will offer instruction over a period of four Saturdays on the campus of Saint Augustine’s University. Two cohorts have been identified from residents of Southeast Raleigh. The first cohort will consist of community members age 55 and older and the second will consist of community members age 18 to 25.
“In this rapidly changing technological world, it is imperative for people to feel comfortable using digital devices to navigate personally and professionally,” said Saint Augustine’s University President Everett B. Ward. “Saint Augustine’s University is not only committed to educating young scholars to lead, but also has a commitment to the southeast Raleigh community that we serve.”
Instruction will take place in state-of-the-art classrooms located in the School of Business, Management and Technology’s Cheshire building on Saint Augustine’s University campus.
