SAU Students Excel at 2024 NC TRIO Student Initiatives Conference
Saint Augustine’s University (SAU) is thrilled to celebrate the exceptional accomplishments of its students who participated in the 2024 NC TRIO Student Initiatives Conference hosted by The North Carolina Council of Educational Opportunity. The conference at NC State University provided a platform for students to engage in academic activities and competitions, fostering leadership, scholarly achievement, and community involvement.

Burgess. “We are immensely proud of their outstanding accomplishments and applaud their contributions to the scholarly community.”
The TRIO Center of Excellence proudly presented nine talented individuals among the participants, including Ariana White, Noah Wheeler, Ashely Petway, and Chyna Marbury from SAU. These four students particularly shone in a heated debate, securing a remarkable second-place finish and garnering praise and recognition from all attendees and organizers.
The active involvement of SAU students in the debate and the overall event exemplifies the university’s commitment to fostering intellectual growth, critical thinking, and community engagement. The TRIO Program commended their outstanding performance and contributions, highlighting their potential as future leaders in academia and beyond.
