The Saint Augustine’s Historic Chapel was featured by The Episcopal Diocese of North Carolina in their magazine, The North Carolina Disciple to discuss their window restoration, the importance of the Chapel on SAU’s campus, and how our Chaplain, The Rev. Hershey Mallette Stephens, conducts services during COVID-19. Recently awarded a $18,686 United Thank Offering grant, the Chapel used this latest grant with others it received for the restoration of the stained-glass windows and pews, the creation of an outdoor worship space and retrofitting the building for modern technology.
