Ethel Ophelia Johnson, M.F. A., was selected to present a paper during the 50th Annual College English Association (CEA) Conference in New Orleans, La., March 28-30, 2019.

Her topic – “Can You See Me Now? Exploring Socioeconomic and Cultural Issues in First-Year Composition Students Through Vision Boards” – was included in a pedagogy and diversity component of the conference. She also moderated a faculty panel discussion on Re-envisioning Peer Review and Student Interaction.

Johnson serves as an Assistant Professor of Film in the Department of Media and Communications, which is under the guidance of the School of Education, Humanities, Social, and Behavioral Sciences.
