Saint Augustine’s University (SAU) Assistant Professor of Visual Arts Linda Dallas received the 2022 Raleigh Medal of Arts Award at the Raleigh Medal of Arts Award Ceremony which took place October 20, 2022 at Theatre in the Park. Established by the Raleigh Arts Commission in 1984, the Raleigh Medal of Arts is awarded for transformative, imaginative, and innovative achievement in the practice or support of the local arts.

The Ceremony featured presentations and performances honoring extraordinary achievements in the arts. Performers included North Carolina Poet Laureate Jaki Shelton Green, Raleigh Little Theatre’s Teens on Stage and The Veldt, a 2022 Raleigh Medal of Arts awardee. Ms. Dallas received the award for her leadership in the arts and her persistence in ensuring equity, access, and inclusion in the arts.
